Matt Hodin
Graphic Designer/Art Director

I’m a Graphic Designer and Art Director with over a decade of experience helping brands bring their stories to life through bold, thoughtful design. A proud graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), I earned my BFA in Graphic Design after three foundational years at Penn State’s Stuckeman School of Design.

Originally from North Potomac, Maryland, I’ve worked with clients across a wide spectrum, from scrappy start-ups to established hedge funds, delivering creative across brand identity, marketing campaigns, advertising, social media, and more.

My passion for design started during my freshman year of college, and I’ve been all in ever since. I love the challenge of blending big-picture thinking with detail-oriented execution, bringing ideas to life through typography, layout, color, and the full Adobe Suite. Please see my list of service offerings below.

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of design projects do you take on?

I work on branding + logo design, visual identity systems, marketing design, social media graphics, packaging, print design, and creative support for ongoing campaigns. If you’re not sure what you need yet, I can help you figure out the right scope.

What does your process on a given project look like?

1. Quick kickoff to align on goals and direction

2. Design exploration + initial concepts

3. Feedback and revisions

4. Final refinements + delivery of polished, production-ready files

You’ll always know what stage we’re in and what’s coming next.

Do you offer packages
or custom quotes?

Both. Some projects fit neatly into a defined package (like branding), while others are better priced as a custom estimate based on your needs, timeline, and deliverables.

Do you have a
minimum project size?

Not necessarily, but I’m best suited for projects where the work can be done thoughtfully and professionally (not rushed in one quick file). However, if you have a smaller request, feel free to reach out and I’ll let you know if it’s a fit.

How much does a
given project cost?

Every project is different, so pricing depends on scope, complexity, timeline, and deliverables. Once I know what you’re looking for, I’ll send a clear estimate so you can make a confident decision (no surprises). I do charge hourly for design work in most cases.

What’s included in
“rounds of revisions”?

A revision round is your chance to give feedback on a presented direction, and I refine it based on your notes. Most projects include multiple rounds so we can dial everything in without overcomplicating the process.

What if I am not sure what I want yet?

Totally normal. Most clients don’t start with perfect clarity. I’ll be happy to guide you through a few quick questions and references so we can uncover a direction that fits your brand and feels intentional.

Can you design “just a logo”?

Yes, but I’ll usually recommend at least a small logo system (primary logo + alternate version + icon) so your brand actually works across real-world uses like social, web, print, and small spaces.

What design files will I receive at the end?

It definitely depends on what area of design we are working in, however, I tend to provide more filetypes than the average designer. I like my clients to feel that they have everything they need once a design is approved and finalized.

Will my files be print-ready?

Assuming the project includes print deliverables, then of course! I’ll set everything up with correct sizing and export specs so it’s ready for production. I can even offer help with the printing itself.

How long does a typical project take?

Timelines vary depending on scope and how quickly feedback rounds move, but most projects take anywhere from a couple weeks to a couple months. If you have a deadline, I’ll tell you up front what’s realistic.

Do you offer rush or expedited timelines?

Depending on my schedule, yes! If you need something quickly, reach out with your deadline and I’ll let you know what’s possible.

Do you work with clients outside of your area?

Of course! I work with clients remotely all the time, and the process is smooth and organized through email, calls, and shared files.

Do you offer ongoing design support after the project is finished?

Absolutely! Many clients keep me on for design support after launch, like new social assets, campaign extensions, presentation design, print updates, or additional brand materials.

Who owns the final design?

Once final payment is complete, you own the final approved deliverables and can use them for your business. (I may showcase the work in my portfolio unless you request confidentiality.)
